It is the second largest city on the island of Ireland, after Dublin, and is home to a city population of just over 267,000, while the Belfast urban area is home to over 480,000 people. Belfast Transportation
Belfast is most easily reached by air for international passengers, although there are a number of Ferry services to the United Kingdom available from Belfast Port. Belfast is served by two International Airports: George Best International Airport and Belfast International Airport. From both these gateways, visitors can reach Belfast from a variety of destinations across the United Kingdom and continental Europe, while Continental Airlines link Belfast International with New York. Alternatively, visitors travelling from Dublin can reach Belfast by rail or bus.
